YaKIn was founded in 2012, when it was spun-off from Conservation International Indonesia's Marine Program to focus specifically on the Kalabia Education initiative.
Lead by executive director, Bram Goram, and supported by Canadian education advisor, Angela Beer, YaKIn continues to receive extensive support from Conservation International together with new supporter, Pelindo, the Indonesian Port Corporation.
The marine conservation education program is delivered to the 100++ remote villages of Raja Ampat by a dedicated team of locally-hired, charismatic conservation educators. The unique, interactive program has increased the ecological literacy and stewardship in communities pocket option india
